The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Nashua Swim Team prides itself in helping youngsters develop self-esteem, along with a solid knowledge of swimming. In addition we have been able to add an impressive array of Boys and Girls Club swimmers to the Nashua High School Swim Team, these include Meredith Bryar,Sean McLaughlin, Dan Depont, Reid Willett, Rob Scagnelli, Dahyam Crespo-Matiz. Amee Hinkley, Anna Carty, Cherie Simons and Kate Sullivan.
This is my
fourth season as the Dolphins Head Coach. I've been associated with the
team for 10 years, serving in a variety of capacities, including timer,
team statistician, President of the Club's Swim Team Parents Association
for 3 years, USS Certified Official 3 years and Assistant Coach 1 year.
Assisting me are an excellent staff of volunteer coaches including Brian Sullivan, Bob Schumann, Rick Bourassa, Leslie Bowen, Diane Allen and my daughter and recently graduated swimmer Kellyann McLaughlin.
Also ensuring the success of our program is an excellent Swim Team Parents Association, headed by
President Rick Bourassa, Vice President Mary Beth Greathead, Treasurer John Deasley and Secretary Diane Allen. This group provides not only financial but spiritual support, making this more of a FAMILY than JUST a team!! This group has enabled the coaching staff to
attend this years Boston Coaches Swimming Clinic, the Eastern States Coaches Clinic for the last eight years, as well as providing funds to send our coaches and 23 swimmers (two at large) to this years National Competition at the Boys
and Girls Club National Championships at Arlington Park Aquatics Center
in Sarasota, Florida.For this support we are ever greatful. But most I am pleased to coach a group of 78 of the best swimmers that a coach could ever ask to work with, YOU ARE THE GREATEST!!!! AND DON'T YOU EVER FORGET THAT!!!!TOGETHER WE CAN ALL ACCOMPLISH MIRACLES!!
